The Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking to fill the position of DOC Fiscal Compliance Certified Public Accountant. This position prepares written entries to journalize amounts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as promulgated by the Comptroller in the Comptrollers’ Statewide Accounting Management System Procedures Manual (SAMS). In addition, this position prepares, analyzes, compiles, or otherwise completes any required financial or programmatic evaluations, and provides professional assurances to outside parties (Comptroller, auditors, federal government) as to the accuracy of the financial information presented.
