About The Position

The Fiscal Analyst supports the Finance Administrator and senior fiscal staff within the Department of Orthopaedics and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by assisting with financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, expense management, and compliance. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data while contributing to efficient departmental financial processes and adherence to institutional policies.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and three years professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance or commercial lending.
  • Computer literacy.

  • A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for two years of the required work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the Our Day system to accurately input and process expense reports, ensuring timely and compliant reimbursement for faculty and staff. Review submissions for completeness and accuracy and monitor report status to support efficient financial operations.
  • Prepare and create supplier invoices in accordance with departmental and institutional guidelines, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and timely processing to support revenue collection and financial reporting.
  • Utilize the Our Day system to maintain accurate and up-to-date costing allocations for all staff and faculty, ensuring salary distributions are appropriately aligned with designated funding sources. Regularly review and update allocations to support financial accuracy, compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Utilize the Our Day system to complete procurement purchases and order supplies through the punch-out process, ensuring compliance with institutional purchasing policies, accurate documentation, and timely fulfillment of departmental needs.
  • Utilize the Symplr system to enter and route event contracts for approval, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with institutional policies and approval workflows. Monitor contract status and coordinate with stakeholders to support timely execution.
  • Utilize Epic and other financial reporting systems to retrieve, analyze, and distribute data to physicians and department leadership, supporting informed decision-making, financial oversight, and operational planning.
