The First-year Enrollment Counselor is responsible for recruiting prospective first-year students within an assigned geographic territory to meet established University enrollment goals. This role involves developing and maintaining positive relationships with prospective students, parents, families, high school counselors, teachers, and community partners. The counselor will guide prospective students and families through the admission process, including application, admission, financial aid, and enrollment steps. Consistent and timely outreach to prospective students via telephone, email, text messaging, and virtual engagement is expected. The position requires representing Batten University at various recruitment events, conducting presentations, and maintaining accurate student records in enrollment management systems. Monitoring applicant and inquiry populations and following up to ensure application completion, admission, and enrollment are key duties. Collaboration with Enrollment Management colleagues and other University departments is essential for supporting recruitment initiatives, campus visits, and admitted-student events. The role may involve occasional overnight recruitment travel and evening and weekend programs.
