About The Position

The First Tee Assistant Coach at The First Tee of Howard County at Fairway Hills Golf Club provides customer service to members and guests by creating a warm, welcoming environment. The role works with The First Tee Coach to help members take advantage of golf programs and services, and is responsible for students ages 7 to 17. Weekend and evening work is required. During the programming season, April through October, the Assistant Coach is expected to work a minimum of three classes per week.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to instruct basic golf fundamentals.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively handle a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous golf teaching or coaching experience.
• Familiarity with the golf industry and terminology.
• Familiarity with The First Tee Program.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm and welcoming environment for members and guests while providing customer service.
• Work with The First Tee Coach to help members take advantage of golf programs and services.
• Work with students ages 7 to 17.
• Work a minimum of three classes per week during programming from April to October.
• Work evenings and weekends.
