About The Position

Performs selected technical duties in an expanded perioperative role under the direction of the surgeon.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• <2 years experience
• CERT SURG TECH FIRST ASSIST
• Surgical Technician

Nice To Haves

• Completed an accredited First Assistant Surgical Technologist Program.
• Completed a CSTFA or CSFA certification.
• Associate's Degree
• 2-5 years experience
• Supervisor Experience

Responsibilities

• Delivers intraoperative patient care as the first assistant to the surgeon(s) as a collaborative team member.
• Maintains accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team.
• Functions as a member of the surgical team and contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative department.
• Participates in professional development and life-long learning.
