About The Position

The First Responder provides basic life support services under the direction of an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), responding to emergency calls according to state standards, standing orders, and department protocols. The position serves as either the emergency vehicle driver or a secondary patient attendant under EMT direction. The First Responder works within their scope of practice, responds promptly, maintains technical skills, and provides safe, high-quality care and emotional support to patients and affected individuals.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license upon hire.
• Active Emergency Medical Responder license in the state of practice upon hire.
• Ability to work the hours specified.
• Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
• Ability to communicate effectively, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
