Requirements

Valid Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)
Minimum 2000 hours total flight time
Valid Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating and Class 1 Medical Certificate
Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status
Hold a valid passport, and Canadian Permanent Residency card (if you are not a Canadian passport holder)
Have ability to travel unrestricted to all WestJet destinations (any required visas and/or travel documents are the sole responsibility of the candidate)
Clear criminal record and background check
Proficiency in oral and written English
Offers of employment are conditional on passing a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening test
Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) before completing Initial Ground School

Nice To Haves

Minimum 500 hours fixed-wing multi-engine time and multi-crew experience is preferred
3,000+ hours total flight time
Jet or turbo-prop experience in a 705 operation
Previous WestJet Group experience
Graduation from one of our partnership schools
Post-secondary education in aviation or related field
