About The Position

WestJet is seeking skilled professionals to join them as a First Officer. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and exceptional air travel across WestJet's extensive network. The fleet includes Boeing 787, 737 NG, and 737 MAX aircraft. As a First Officer, you will contribute to the safe and timely operation of flights while delivering a high-quality guest experience. This role requires professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to teamwork.

Requirements

• Valid Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)
• Minimum 2000 hours total flight time
• Valid Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating and Class 1 Medical Certificate
• Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status
• Hold a valid passport, and Canadian Permanent Residency card (if not a Canadian passport holder)
• Ability to travel unrestricted to all WestJet destinations
• Clear criminal record and background check
• Proficiency in oral and written English
• Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) before completing Initial Ground School

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 500 hours fixed-wing multi-engine time and multi-crew experience
• 3,000+ hours total flight time
• Jet or turbo-prop experience in a 705 operation
• Previous WestJet Group experience
• Graduation from one of our partnership schools
• Post-secondary education in aviation or related field
