About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a First Line Engineering Manager for its Legacy Tankers organization, which supports KC-135 and KDC/KC-10 platforms. The manager directs a multidisciplinary team responsible for aircraft integration and structural analysis across aging commercial-derivative military aircraft. The role provides technical authority across structures, mechanical, avionics, and fuel systems engineering, and ensures coordinated execution of sustainment and development work. It also serves as a technical interface to executive leadership, program management, and external customers. The position leads engineering personnel and technical leads, oversees delivery across sustainment and modification portfolios, and supports airworthiness modifications and military certification coordination. The manager also oversees proposal development, team performance metrics, production engineering improvements, and adoption of digital engineering and process-integration tools. Candidates must complete an assessment as part of the selection process. The role requires compliance with U.S. export-control requirements and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance; an interim and/or final clearance is required after starting. Boeing will not sponsor employment visas. Relocation may be offered based on candidate eligibility. This is a first-shift position and is not contingent on a program award.
