About The Position

Boeing Defense Services (BDS) Operations team is seeking a First-Line Aircraft Manufacturing Manager to join the team in San Antonio, TX. The selected candidates will support executive transport modification programs and will lead electrical, modifications to include functional test activities. The selected candidates will be leading teams in a high visibility, fast paced wide body modification program and will be expected to innovatively lead their teams in Go 4Zero safety, FOD, Quality, and compliance initiatives. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. This position requires a valid A&P license OR willingness to obtain within 18 months as a condition of employment.

Requirements

At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
5+ years of experience working with aircraft maintenance and/or modifications
1+ years of experience prioritizing multiple electrical projects in support of key milestones and aircraft delivery schedules
Willing and able to work variable shift
Valid FAA A&P Certificate or willing to obtain within 18 months
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Nice To Haves

A&P License or FAA Repairman Certificate in the type of maintenance to be performed
747 (-2) Aircraft Experience
