About The Position

St. Francis de Sales Cathedral School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and student-centered First Grade Teacher to join our exceptional faculty for the 2026-2027 school year. Located in the heart of Houma, Louisiana, St. Francis de Sales Cathedral School has served families for over 150 years through a tradition of academic excellence, character development, and community engagement. Our school serves students in PreK through 7th grade and is known for its strong family atmosphere, dedicated faculty, and commitment to helping every child reach their full potential. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or related field.
• Eligibility for Louisiana teacher certification or willingness to pursue certification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Passion for working with young children and fostering their growth.

• Louisiana teaching certification.
• Previous elementary classroom experience.
