Requirements
- High School or equivalent required.
- Up to 1 year of related experience.
- Hold current certifications in American Red Cross First Aid (3-year recertification), American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED with Child and Infant CPR (annual recertification), and Preventing Disease Transmission (annual recertification).
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly.
- Flexible and able to communicate clearly.
- Must provide own reliable transportation.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Work with integrity and ethics.
- Ability to work on a team.
Nice To Haves
- Travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Respond quickly and efficiently, providing emergency care only within the level of American Red Cross training.
- Follow directions given by the FAST Station Leader and staff.
- Work in conjunction with Emergency Medical Services personnel.
- Complete FAST records and reports, including the Patient Treatment Form.
- Provide FAST communications support by way of 800 MHz radio.
- Work with a volunteer counterpart to ensure key volunteers are utilized and ensure depth within the function.
