About The Position

Apple’s wireless system-on-chip (SoC) organization develops wireless silicon, emphasizing energy-efficient designs and technologies that improve the product-level user experience. The organization includes teams spanning RF/analog, systems/PHY/MAC, VLSI/RTL, emulation, design verification, test and validation, and firmware/software engineering.

In this role, you will develop test automation and execute firmware test cases for wireless application SoCs. You will work closely with Software Engineering to ensure firmware quality, manufacturability, and an improved user experience. You will champion quality and advance quality processes to prevent regressions and help deliver high-quality products.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience.

Nice To Haves

• Passion for software and firmware testing.
• Proficiency in Python and C.
• Knowledge of the hardware and firmware development life cycle.
• Experience with test bring-up on FPGA and SoC silicon hardware.
• Exposure to continuous integration processes and familiarity with automation test frameworks and tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience with wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or UWB and related integration issues.
• Experience in firmware/software white-box testing, including test plan design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance.
• Understanding of embedded software fundamentals and low-level hardware interfaces.
• Strong wireless, PHY, radio, and RF fundamentals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
