The Firmware Engineer designs, develops, and tests embedded software and platforms that control power-generation-related systems. The work requires understanding the physical device being controlled, its real-time functions, and the logic and software needed to implement and test those functions. The role may support products and services across multiple P&Ls and may involve creating a module, component, feature area, or entire embedded software product. The role requires interpersonal skills and may include leading a junior team. In customer-facing work, the engineer may develop customer relationships, serve as an interface between the customer and GE Vernova, and explain technical information. The position must be performed onsite in Roanoke, Virginia. Relocation assistance is available for U.S.-based candidates. The stated U.S. salary range is $80,000 to $120,000, with possible geographic differentials; discretionary annual bonus eligibility is also offered. The posting says it is expected to remain open for at least seven days after October 16, 2026.
