Firmware Engineer II - Motor Control

Milwaukee Tool•Brookfield, WI

About The Position

The Firmware Engineer II – Motor Control collaborates with engineers and cross-functional teams locally and globally, building trusting relationships and supporting key milestones in the new product development process. The role designs, prototypes, tests, and troubleshoots embedded systems for real-time motor control, and designs, models, simulates, and implements control algorithms independently and with senior-engineer supervision. It also develops and maintains control system architecture, creates and executes firmware test plans, analyzes experimental and simulation data, and helps ensure projects meet schedules. The engineer works with suppliers and manufacturers, supports technical meetings and presentations, contributes technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, and learns Milwaukee Tool’s development and manufacturing processes to support mass production. The role also designs and qualifies solutions to applicable regulatory standards, including UL, CEC, CE, and ANSI.
