About The Position
Graywolf is seeking a Firewatch in Perdue Hill, AL. This is a short-term outage position with per diem eligibility for those living over 60 miles from the site. The outage is expected to last 7-9 days, with both day and night shifts available. Requirements
- Must be able to communicate effectively and accurately with employees and customers.
- Must be able to successfully pass required Confined Space Entry training.
- Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.
- PPE footwear/prescription safety glasses or eye shields required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Act as Fire Watch, Hole Watch or Bottle Watch.
- Watch out for fire hazards in the workplace while work is performed by other employees.
- Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the safety permit.
- Keep flammable materials from ignition sources.
- In the event of an emergency, follow protocol listed on the safety permit and immediately alert others of dangers in the area.
- Call 911 or emergency alarm number as needed.
- Stop operations (Stop Work Authority) if any hazardous conditions are found.
- Maintain constant communication with supervision.
- Be prepared to operate fire extinguishers, hydrants, fixed monitors, and hose carts at any time.
- Always stay on the jobsite while work is being completed.
- Identify safety hazards that you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
- Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
