Install, configure, test, and maintain AFATDS operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Initialize, configure, and troubleshoot software interfaces. Manage and monitor all installed systems, networks, and infrastructure for optimal performance. Ensure high availability, reliability, and resilience of system and network infrastructure. Monitor and evaluate application performance, identify bottlenecks, propose solutions, and collaborate with developers to implement fixes. Maintain system security, backup procedures, and redundancy strategies. Participate in the design and enhancement of information and operational support systems as required. Prepare weekly and bi-weekly technical and operational reports. Provide over-the-shoulder training and mentorship to artillery operators. Assist Canadian Army Artillery units in planning and executing simulated and live-fire unit/formation-level exercises. Apply advanced knowledge of AFATDS hardware, components, and operational procedures. Assist the Royal Canadian Artillery School in any required revisions of Canadian artillery doctrine, development of new tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), creation of required training plans and supplementary training material, and act as the on-site AFATDS Technical Subject Matter Expert.
