About The Position

Frontline Traffic Services is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals with traffic control experience to join their team as a Traffic Control Agent (TCA). This role involves overseeing a team of Traffic Control Person(s) (TCPs), coordinating daily site activities, and collaborating with a foreman/contractor to ensure a safe work environment on construction job sites in and around Moncton and other areas in New Brunswick.

Requirements

  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Must be able to interpret both written and verbal instructions.
  • Great communication skills and willing to work in a diverse team environment.
  • Must be able to show leadership and good decision-making abilities.
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions, often working long days.
  • Comfortable working near vehicle traffic and heavy equipment.
  • Required ability to lift up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods of time.
  • Valid TCP Certification.
  • Valid TCA Certification.
  • Valid Class 5 License an asset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in traffic control.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up safe work zones using traffic cones, barrels and barricades.
  • Plan detailed traffic control solutions based on customer needs and safe work practices.
  • Responsible for the safe passage of vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists through work areas.
  • Communicate with other TCPs in the workplace to regulate traffic safely.
  • Monitor the safe work zones and correct compliance and personnel issues as they arise.
  • Communicate any incidents or hazards to the Site Supervisor.
  • Complete required administration and safety paperwork.
  • Follow instructions given by Site Foreman, Site Supervisor, and Management.

  • Drivers must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License and a clean drivers abstract.
