About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Fireplace Installer/Chimney Sweep to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the installation and maintenance of fireplaces and chimneys, ensuring safety and efficiency in all operations. This role requires a commitment to quality service and a willingness to learn and grow within the industry.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work in physically demanding environments and at heights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in installation and maintenance.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Comfortable working at heights.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and apply new skills.

Nice To Haves

Masonry experience a plus.
Fireplace installer experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Installing and servicing gas fireplaces, log sets and HVAC equipment.
Liner installation and servicing of fireplaces, stoves & Chimney Systems.
Support the chimney sweep team in cleaning and maintaining chimneys to ensure proper function and safety.
Conduct inspections of fireplaces and chimneys to identify any issues or necessary repairs.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in fireplace installation and chimney maintenance.
Perform chimney sweeps and level-2 camera inspections.
Perform heat shields and PCRs.
Assist with installations and service of stoves, inserts, and gas fireplaces.
