About The Position
Operate and maintain high pressure boilers and appurtenances in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable laws. Schedule will be Monday through Friday from 11 PM to 7 am (third shift).
Requirements
- Massachusetts Fireman or Engineer License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Zero to Six months of experience
- Less than 5% travel requirement
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance repair in the boiler room in a safe and efficient manner as directed by the Chief Engineer.
- Must be familiar with safe work practices including but not limited to, lock out tag out, confined space entry, ladder and climbing safety, hot works, etc.
- Repair, rebuild and replace pumps.
- Perform general cleaning and painting.
- Assist plant personnel and co-workers as needed.
- Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner.
- Follow department and company procedures.
- Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company.
- Other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the business. These responsibilities may change from time to time our business needs evolve over time.
