About The Position

The Village of Fox Crossing is creating an eligibility list for the position of Part-Time Firefighter. Those hired will assist in providing coverage between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and around the clock on the weekends from Friday evening through Monday morning (12-hour shifts). Applicants filling these positions will need to work a minimum of four (4) shifts per month.

Requirements

• 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• State of Wisconsin Firefighter I certification
• Current State of Wisconsin EMS First Responder Certification or higher
• Completion of NIMS 100, 200, and 700

Nice To Haves

• State of Wisconsin Driver Operator – Pumper certification

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing coverage between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and around the clock on the weekends from Friday evening through Monday morning (12-hour shifts).
• Work a minimum of four (4) shifts per month.
• Fire and EMS emergency response
• Fire inspections
• Apparatus driving and operation (if certified)
• Public education
• Customer service
