About The Position
The firefighter is a highly visible position within the community served, and strong moral character is required. The City of Lansing Fire Department is a non-transport, otherwise full-service fire department that responds to all types of emergencies. The position follows a 24-hour work period based on the Berkeley schedule: 24 hours on, 24 hours off, 24 hours on, 24 hours off, then 24 hours on followed by 96 hours off.
