About The Position

Koorsen is hiring a Fire Systems Inspector in Muncie, Indiana, to inspect and test fire alarm and sprinkler systems and their components, document deficiencies, and help customers understand how their systems function. The role requires professional interaction with customers, vendors, and coworkers; adherence to safety regulations, company policies, procedures, and core values; and a willingness to continue learning. Other duties may be assigned by management. The stated schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Up to one year of experience in fire alarm inspections.
Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
Experience with electronic testing devices.
Ability to pass drug and background screenings.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Fire alarm manufacturer's certifications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Basic understanding of IT functionality.
NICET certification.

Responsibilities
