About The Position

Tradesmen International is hiring experienced Fire Suppression Technicians for projects in the Wilton, Connecticut area. This is a first-shift opportunity paying up to $37 per hour, based on experience and skill level. The technician will install, inspect, test, service, and maintain specialized fire suppression systems, particularly commercial kitchen hood systems such as Ansul systems. The role also involves work on foam, water spray, carbon dioxide, dry chemical, halon, and other liquid- or gas-based fire suppression systems. The technician will inspect fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA 10 standards and emergency lighting systems per NFPA 101, diagnose system defects, make structural repairs, replace malfunctioning components, and complete accurate inspection reports, service documentation, and job logs on time. Projects may be in commercial facilities or restaurant environments.

Requirements

Valid Connecticut F-4 Fire Protection Limited Journeyperson License.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience servicing kitchen hood suppression and portable fire systems.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, test, service, and maintain specialized fire suppression systems, especially commercial kitchen hood systems such as Ansul systems.
Work on foam extinguishing, water spray, carbon dioxide (CO₂), dry chemical, halon, and other liquid- or gas-based fire suppression systems.
Conduct routine fire extinguisher inspections in compliance with NFPA 10 standards.
Inspect emergency lighting systems in accordance with NFPA 101.
Diagnose system defects, perform structural repairs, and replace malfunctioning components in commercial facilities or restaurant environments.
Complete accurate inspection reports, service documentation, and job logs on time.
