Fire Suppression Service Technician

You will be installing, inspecting and servicing Fire and Life Safety product lines that include fire extinguishers, emergency lights, pre-engineered kitchen hood fire suppression systems, paint booth fire suppression systems and vehicle fire suppression systems.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be Tech-savvy and have the skill sets to learn new apps and use them throughout your day
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals
- Have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be willing to work at heights
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends to meet customer requirements.
- Participate in a scheduled On-Call rotation
- Willing to travel with extended stay out of town from time to time
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Must be willing to pass background check
Nice To Haves
- 3 to 5 years of experience with pre-engineered fire suppression and vehicle fire suppression systems, but not required
- Self-starter that can work with little to no supervision
Responsibilities
- Complete tasks while adhering to company Safety Policies
- Utilizing Apps and Microsoft applications with ease
- Accurately discern and document deficiencies found during an inspection
- Inform customers of deficiencies and required or recommended upgrades confidently and intelligently
- Make repairs and/or upgrades while on-site
- Professionally always represent the company while performing quality service and inspections
- Maintain proper stock of equipment, parts, and supplies
- Perform all DOT required safety practices paperwork
- Complete all paperwork in a professional manner
- Attend all required training and/or meetings
- Perform other duties as directed
- Up-sell and cross-sell new product offerings and services to existing customers consistently
