About The Position

Johnson Controls is hiring a Fire Sprinkler Systems Technician to perform inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA and State Department of Health requirements. The technician must accurately identify and document deficiencies found during inspections. The role calls for customer service, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication with employees, employers, customers, and authorities having jurisdiction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of field experience with wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• Functional knowledge of wet and dry sprinkler systems.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to stand or climb stairs and ladders for an extended period.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds without assistance.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good written and oral communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment security, drug, and background checks.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of fire pumps, backflows, and standpipes.
