Impact Fire Services is seeking a self-motivated, customer service-oriented lead technician. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and a good communicator. Ability to use software-based technology for paperless documentation. Establish a rapport and build positive relationships with our customers. This position is for a service technician and fire protection system inspection/testing specialist. Responsibilities include NFPA 25 inspection/testing of water-based fire protection systems, service, maintenance, and repairs of water-based systems, minor modification and retrofit of fire sprinkler systems, and backflow preventer inspection, testing, and repairs. The role also involves identifying NFPA compliance issues and preparing remediation recommendations, working as a team player with field and office staff, performing visual inspection of systems, disabling horn & strobes, and alerting alarm companies and central monitoring services and fire department. Completing job paperwork electronically, reporting critical deficiencies, and preparing detailed lists for repairs, service, and maintenance work are also key aspects. The technician must work with the highest level of safety and complete all Impact Fire safety testing requirements. Job, inventory, and vehicle preparation duties include planning, organizing, and gathering materials and equipment for efficient work, keeping the work vehicle clean and organized, and scheduling routine vehicle maintenance. General duties include being on 24-hour call for one-week periods in rotation, responding to service calls within 30 minutes, working off-hours when required, following company policies, being punctual, and providing strong customer service.
