About The Position

We seek a self-motivated, customer service-oriented Fire Sprinkler Lead Technician. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and a good communicator. This important position will establish rapport and build positive relationships with our customers.

Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience installing fire sprinkler pipe systems, fire pumps and valves, required.
• Must be able to work alone and/or part as a team.
• Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, customer service skills, decision making skills, ability to multitask, and the ability to train others.
• Ability to effectively read, write and communicate with employees and customers.
• Ability to operate a computer and tablet.
• Understanding and implementing codes and standards of NFPA 13 and 25.
• Frequent local travel and occasional regional and non-regional travel is required.
• Employees will frequently be required to work inside and outside in hot/cold temperatures and be exposed to loud noises, cramped quarters, dust, fumes and odors, standing on hard surfaces, and electrical hazards frequently.
• Employees will occasionally be exposed to chemicals, moving machinery, uneven and slippery surfaces.
• Employees must consistently wear all appropriate personal protective equipment, as required by company safety policies.

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years preferred experience installing fire sprinkler pipe systems, fire pumps and valves.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance and repair of fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action and deluge.
• Identify trouble areas and perform service in an efficient and professional manner to ensure that sprinkler systems are operating properly.
• Install/hang sprinkler systems and their components per NFPA and engineering guidelines.
• Repair and/or replace all sprinkler systems components, including Fire pumps.
• Perform disassembly, repair, and installation of sprinkler and backflow valves (once receiving license).
• Perform inspection of wet, dry, pre-action, deluge systems.
