Fire Sprinkler Install Trainee
About The Position
Assist in the installation of wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire protection piping, valves and accessories for commercial, residential buildings, and industrial applications in compliance with current codes. This role involves assisting in the installation and repair of fire sprinkler systems per specifications, laying out strings (pipe) along designated pipeline settings in the field, connecting pipe using snap lock or wrench, and attaching sprinkler heads. The trainee will also communicate with the foreman and/or superintendent regarding safety hazards and discrepancies, maintain a clean and safe work area, and adhere to company safe working policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0-6 months related experience or training
- Pre-employment drug screens
- Overtime may be required
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation and repair of fire sprinkler systems per specifications
- Lays out strings (pipe) along designated pipeline settings in field.
- Connects pipe, using snap lock or wrench to tighten collar clamp.
- Attaches revolving sprinkler heads to vertical pipes at designated points along pipeline.
- Communicate with foreman and/or superintendent any safety hazards and discrepancies found on job site.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Adhere to company safe working policies and procedures at all times.
