About The Position

Fire Sprinkler Inspectors test fire protection systems and document the results according to NFPA standards. The role involves performing quality inspections while meeting customer expectations, inspecting and maintaining water-based and sprinkler systems, and completing and managing inspection documentation using a laptop or hard-copy forms. Inspectors follow a structured schedule and complete assigned inspections on time. The position also requires availability for a scheduled after-hours on-call rotation.

Requirements

3 to 5 years of experience with sprinkler systems.
NICET II Certification.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
Ability to read and interpret technical and parts manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50–70 pounds.
Ability to work on lifts and ladders.
Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Nice To Haves

State Backflow certification.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on water-based systems and/or sprinkler systems.
Meet customer expectations while performing quality inspections.
Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding using communication devices such as laptop computers and/or hard-copy forms.
Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documentation using a laptop computer.
Complete assigned inspections on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in a scheduled after-hours on-call rotation.
