About The Position

Responsible for laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping and piping systems, fixtures, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems. This role involves ensuring proper installation according to design plans and codes to protect buildings. The position also requires diligent completion of all required weekly paperwork for CFP and as directed by the General Contractor, effective communication with designers regarding design changes and material shortages, producing red-line drawings, and reporting project/schedule changes to the Field Superintendent and Project Manager. Attending project and coordination meetings, submitting daily progress reports, and documenting/reporting incidents like water damage, injuries, or accidents are also key aspects of the role. Additionally, the position involves training Fitters and Helpers on proper installation techniques.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 3-5 years related experience and/or training
• Basic computer skills, email
• Pre-employment drug screen required

Responsibilities

• Installing pipe fittings, hangers, couplings, and sprinklers per design plan and codes to properly protect building.
• Completing all required weekly paperwork for CFP and as directed by the General Contractor.
• Communicating with designer before making any design changes.
• Communicating with designer regarding any material shortages.
• Producing red-line drawings to turn in to designer.
• Communicating project and schedule changes to Field Superintendent and Project Manager.
• Attending project and coordination meetings as required.
• Completing and submitting daily progress reports to Field Superintendent and General Contractor as required.
• Documenting and reporting water damage, injuries, and/or accidents to Field Superintendent and General Manager immediately when an incident occurs.
• Training Fitters and Helpers on proper installation techniques.
