The responsibility of a Fire Sprinkler Fitter is to install sprinkler head, valves, and steel and CPVC pipe in newly constructed structures and renovations to existing structures with minimal supervision. This role involves cutting, fabricating, and installing pipe, as well as installing various valves and components according to blueprints. The Fitter is also responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area, caring for tools and equipment, reporting progress to a foreman, and assisting in the training of apprentices. Understanding and adhering to safety programs, policies, and procedures is crucial. The position requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, work independently and as part of a team, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening are also required.
