About The Position

ProSidian seeks a Fire Protection Training and Development Specialist for a Contract Contingent, Exempt 1099 Contract role supporting Program Support on a No Overtime Pay Basis. This position is for Hybrid – On/Off Client Site and Virtual work, located in The California Central Coast; Western United States; North America Area (Vandenberg Space Force Base, near Lompoc, Santa Barbara County, California). The role is aligned with GSA Labor Category: Senior Consultant and focuses on Engineering Services Program Support for Navy | NIWC Fire Protection Engineer Services and Support. The specialist will translate approved fire protection findings into training to improve facility personnel understanding and safety readiness, safeguarding Navy installations. The Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic is the U.S. Navy organization seeking this support for facilities across CONUS locations.

Requirements

Fire protection subject expertise must be supplied or validated by a qualified engineer.
Technical instructional design and adult-learning experience.
Primarily focused on Engineering Services initiatives and aligned with Program Support activities Technical Training and Knowledge Transfer Functional Area Activities.
Training needs assessment, lesson development, facilitation, technical communication, learning evaluation.
Audience adaptation, technical accuracy, clear instruction, feedback integration.

Nice To Haves

Relevant education, instructional design or technical degree and training experience recommended.
Historical candidate minimum: master’s degree and 15 years; verify current terms.

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver briefings on approved fire protection findings, review procedures and life safety responsibilities.
Ensure technical content is validated by a lead engineer.
Provide Defense and National Security Sector related Hybrid – On/Off Client Site and Virtual Engineering Services for Navy | NIWC Fire Protection Engineer Services and Support as a Labor Category: Senior Consultant.
Support professional services engagement for Defense and National Security Sector Clients such as NIWC.
Deliver mission-critical fire protection engineering, risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and safety solutions safeguarding Navy installations.
Translate approved fire protection findings into training that improves facility personnel understanding and safety readiness.
