About The Position

Mullins Mechanical is a $400M, Design/Build Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Pipe Specialty Prime Mechanical Contractor. Our Team self-performs work for new construction, build-outs, and retro-fit projects often in the industrial and manufacturing environments, such as Manufacturing/Production Facilities, Data Centers, Food Processing Facilities, EV Battery Plants, Semi-Conductor Plants, Automotive Plants, Chemical Plants, Distribution Centers, Warehouses, and other large Industrial and Heavy Commercial facilities. As a self-performing specialty contractor, we are an Industry Leader specializing in design-build applications, HVAC systems, plumbing, process piping systems, boiler and chiller systems, equipment installation and rigging, plant relocation and maintenance, and metal fabrication. We are looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our team. A fire protection sprinkler fitter installs and repairs fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial buildings by reading blueprints, cutting and assembling pipes, and testing and inspecting systems for compliance with fire codes. Key duties include physical installation and diagnosing and repairing system issues. This role requires physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, and strong attention to detail to ensure public safety.

Requirements

  • Physical stamina for manual labor, such as lifting, climbing, and working in various conditions

  • A valid driver's license may be required
  • Completion of an apprenticeship is often required

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and schematics to plan and install fire sprinkler systems, including cutting, threading, and assembling pipes, valves, and sprinkler heads.
  • Diagnose and repair existing sprinkler systems, which may include replacing damaged parts or performing emergency repairs.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA requirements, use appropriate tools and equipment, and work safely in various environments.
