About The Position

Ahern is hiring a Fire Protection Shop employee in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The role primarily involves operating machines and threading piping for fire protection systems. Additional work may include banding and bundling pipe, moving pipe through the shop using a crane and cart system, sweeping, and cleaning equipment. This is a full-time second-shift position, typically Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., with overtime as needed on Fridays. Compensation is $21.33 per hour under the current Local 669 Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet the required norms on an aptitude test.
• Able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and crouch throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Must follow safety regulations, including use of hearing, hand, knee, and foot safety equipment.
