Fire Protection Engineering Intern at Cushing Terrell. This is an in-person internship supporting our Fire Protection Engineering team on real client projects. You will work under the guidance of licensed fire protection engineers, gaining exposure to fire protection system design, including sprinklers, alarms, smoke control, and suppression systems. You will help review construction drawings and specifications for compliance, assist with fire risk assessments and hazard analyses, and support engineering calculations such as hydraulic analysis and smoke control. Success in this internship means building a foundational understanding of engineering principles and code requirements, reviewing building codes and standards including NFPA and IBC, participating in site visits and inspections, and gaining a clear picture of working in the AEC industry.
