About The Position

Incumbents are assigned responsibilities, involving the inspection of buildings and grounds for elimination of fire hazards, enforcement of laws, rules and regulations and providing security at Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center. Typical work duties may include patrolling assigned premises to identify and correct fire hazards; providing assistance to employees or visitors; directing traffic; and performing other duties related to the protection of state property, employees, visitors and others.

Requirements

  • Completion of a basic security and/or firefighter's course, and 2 years of experience in security or fire prevention and protection work (for F&S Level II)
  • Ability to lift/carry 60 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to push and pull a maximum force of 30 pounds
  • Willingness and ability to fulfill any job-related travel
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs (for safety sensitive positions)
