Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Performs firefighting, fire prevention, rescue, emergency medical services, hazmat and other related duties to protect lives and property. Maintains fire department apparatus, equipment and facilities to ensure daily operational readiness. Fulltime positions normally work (40) forty hours per week, with a rotating on-call schedule and is subject to call back for emergency incidents. Part time positions will work up to (24) twenty-four hours per week as assigned.
