About The Position
Join our team as a Firefighter/EMT and play a critical role in protecting our community! We are looking for motivated individuals ready to take on fire suppression, emergency response, and fire prevention duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid ND Driver’s License.
- Must obtain the following certifications within one year of hire: ProBoard/IFSAC Fire Fighter I, ProBoard/IFSAC Hazardous Materials Awareness & Operations, National Registry EMT-B & ND EMT License, NIMS ICS 100, 200, 700, & 800, BlueCard Command Certification, AHA BLS Provider Level.
Responsibilities
- Perform fire suppression duties, including search and rescue, and hazardous materials response.
- Assist in vehicle extrication and technical rescue operations.
- Participate in fire prevention activities, inspections, and public safety efforts.
- Work with other firefighters and paramedics in high-stress, emergency situations.
- Maintain firefighting equipment, EMS gear, and fire department facilities.
- Conduct hydrant testing and collaborate with city utilities on fire safety.
- Complete detailed reports on patient care and fire incidents.
