About The Position

Koorsen is hiring an entry-level Fire Extinguisher Technician in Huntsville, Alabama, to inspect and service fire protection equipment and systems. The position pays $19–$25 per hour depending on experience, and transitions to 100% incentive pay after training is completed. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. The technician will work with customers, vendors, and coworkers, explain maintained products and systems to customers, and follow safety practices, company policies, procedures, and core values. Requirements

At least 1 year of mechanical skills and customer service experience.
Pass drug and background screenings.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
Valid driver’s license.
Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools.
Able to use a cell phone and cell phone app effectively.
Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds and push and pull more than 75 pounds.
Able to climb a ladder reaching at least 12 feet and use a man lift to perform service.
Able to work with exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noise.
Able to talk or hear while performing the duties of the job.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Inspect fire extinguishers, fire hose, emergency and exit lights, and kitchen hood suppression systems.
Service fire extinguishers, fire hoses, and emergency and exit lights that need maintenance.
Ensure customers understand the products and systems maintained on their property.
Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
Understand and follow all safety regulations and practices.
Remain open-minded and willing to learn continually.

Perform other duties deemed appropriate by management.
