Fire Extinguisher Technician, Reno NV
About The Position
State Fire is seeking a Fire Extinguisher/Hood Suppression Technician to join their team. This role involves inspecting, servicing, and repairing commercial kitchen fire suppression systems, performing annual testing and maintenance of fire extinguishers, and inspecting/maintaining emergency and exit lighting. The technician will also complete inspection reports and daily paperwork using a company-provided iPad, service existing clientele, and build new relationships to grow the customer base. This position offers full training and opportunities for cross-training into other areas of fire protection, such as sprinkler systems.
Requirements
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Comfortable working independently and managing time efficiently.
- Strong communication skills in English—both written and verbal.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime and travel overnight when needed.
- Work on ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.
- Lift and carry up to 70 lbs. without assistance.
- Work indoors and outdoors in various conditions.
