About The Position

The Fire & Contents Project Manager oversees fire, smoke, contents, and restoration-related projects from initial job intake through completion. This position is responsible for coordinating schedules, managing technicians, communicating with customers and insurance adjusters, handling documentation and estimates, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and profitably. This role combines leadership, operations, customer service, field work, and project management responsibilities while supporting contents moving, pack-outs, cleaning, restoration, and emergency services.

Requirements

  • Experience with restoration software such as Alacrity, Xactimate, DASH, or similar systems
  • Fire restoration and contents handling experience
  • Estimating experience
  • Ability to multi-task and operate within multiple systems simultaneously
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for helping customers during difficult situations
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and support field operations when needed
  • Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug test and extensive background screening

Responsibilities

  • Communicate professionally with adjusters, customers, vendors, and colleagues
  • Build incoming jobs in operational systems with accurate information for dispatch and scheduling services
  • Establish and maintain service schedules to ensure services are delivered timely while maintaining profitability
  • Supervise Fire & Contents Technicians, including training, coaching, and performance management
  • Assist with scheduling and dispatching field services and emergency response calls
  • Notify customers regarding service status, scope of work, timelines, necessary paperwork, and quality assurance updates
  • Perform inspections and manage scope of work on job sites before, during, and after work is performed
  • Oversee contents pack-outs, furniture moving, inventory documentation, cleaning processes, and contents manipulation throughout projects
  • Ensure contents are handled, packed, transported, and stored safely to prevent damage
  • Work alongside field technicians when needed to support fire, smoke, and water losses
  • Execute timely, accurate, and profitable estimates
  • Write, review, and audit estimates for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain clear and organized job documentation, electronic notes, and communication records
  • Oversee all job files to ensure approvals are received from insurance companies and customers
  • Promptly respond to communications related to customer requests, business demands, and job status updates
  • Ensure all dispatched jobs are answered and handled in a timely manner
  • Maintain company equipment, supplies, and operational readiness
  • Perform additional duties as needed, including field work and cross-functional support
