The Fire Assay Technician will carry out Fire Assay techniques following written work instructions to determine various mineral and metal concentrations. This role involves performing Fire Assay techniques such as fluxing, fusing, and cupelling samples according to written procedures. The technician will also be responsible for routine equipment maintenance, completing and maintaining accurate work order documentation, fusion sheets, and logs. They will follow Quality system protocols, report discrepancies, and maintain a clean work environment, including proper disposal and organization of waste. The role may also involve working in other areas of the Geochemistry laboratory sections and assisting with special or ad hoc projects.
