About The Position

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the fire alarm systems and pneumatic tube system that serve the medical, educational, and research facilities on the UAMS Campus. These systems are vital to the safety, comfort, and general wellbeing of patients, students and employees. This position is also responsible for assisting with all problems and/or emergencies relating to facility issues on the UAMS Campus. Requirements

  • HS diploma/GED
  • 5 years of fire alarm maintenance experience
  • Valid driver’s license with fewer than 12 points on their Motor Vehicle Record
  • NICET Level 1 Certification
  • State of Arkansas Alarm Systems Technician License
  • Computer program proficiency level: Intermediate
  • Thorough understanding of NFPA and experience with various fire alarm manufacturers
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree in electronics or similar
  • 10 plus years of fire alarm maintenance experience
  • NICET Level 2, 3, or 4 Certification
  • Arkansas Journeyman Electrical License
  • Swisslog Certificate of Training for Pneumatic Tube Systems
