This position is responsible for fire alarm installations, retrofits, and tenant build-outs, as well as testing, servicing, inspection, and repair of fire alarm systems. Key duties include performing on-site emergency troubleshooting, programming, identifying code and non-conformance issues, and preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports. The technician will program and commission newly installed fire alarm systems, lay out, assemble, and install low voltage equipment ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations. They will also test all features and equipment for optimum functioning, perform inspections, diagnose problems, read and follow product manuals, and educate customers on system care and maintenance. Additionally, the role involves writing and submitting customer status and completion reports and overseeing and directing helpers and/or installers.
