This role is responsible for fire alarm installations, retrofits, and tenant build-outs, including testing, servicing, inspection, and repair. The technician will perform on-site emergency troubleshooting, programming, identify code and non-conformance issues, and prepare accurate and timely service tickets and reports. Duties also include programming and commissioning newly installed fire alarm systems, laying out, assembling, and installing low voltage equipment in compliance with codes, testing equipment for optimum functioning, performing inspections and diagnoses, understanding product manuals, educating customers on system care, writing reports, and overseeing helpers or installers.
