The Fire Alarm Service Technician is responsible for fire alarm installations, retrofits, tenant build-outs, testing, servicing, inspection, and repair. This role involves performing on-site emergency troubleshooting, programming, identifying code and non-conformance issues, and preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports. Key duties include programming and commissioning newly installed fire alarm systems, as well as laying out, assembling, and installing low voltage equipment while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations. The technician will test all features and equipment for optimal functioning, conduct inspections, diagnose problems, and educate customers on system care and maintenance. Additionally, the position requires writing and submitting customer status and completion reports and overseeing and directing helpers and/or installers.
