About The Position

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Fire Alarm Panel Specialist supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB Tennessee. The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.

Requirements

High School Education with five years’ experience and knowledge of electrical equipment, circuits, and electronic components related to alarm systems is necessary.
NICET Certification (Level I) or be able to obtain Level I Certification within six months of hire date and maintain Certification.
NICET Certification (Level II) or be able to obtain Level II Certification within two years of hire date and maintain Certification.
Familiar with various types of sprinkler systems.
Familiar with basic mathematical functions is required.
Extensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
Current U. S. Citizenship required.

Active secret security clearance.
NICET Certification (Level III).

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, and maintain fire alarm systems to ensure they comply with safety codes and function correctly.
Run wires, mount sensors and detectors, install control panels, and ensures all components are properly connected and placed according to blueprints.
Configure and program fire alarm panels and systems to meet specific building requirements.
Use specialized equipment to test system functionality and identify issues.
Conduct routine checks and use of specialized equipment to test system functionality. This includes verifying all components—such as smoke detectors, sirens, and control panels—are working correctly.
Diagnose malfunctions, troubleshoot system issues, and perform necessary repairs to keep systems operational.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to include cleaning devices and replacing batteries.
Respond to emergency service calls to troubleshoot and fix alarms and system issues.
Isolate Suppression System for Outages.
Use a variety of hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments.
Inspect, test and maintain suppression systems in accordance with UFC 3-601-2.
Operate Government motor vehicles and/or other equipment.
Ensure all work adheres to federal, state, and local fire safety codes, including standards from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
Keep accurate records of all installations, inspections, and repairs.
Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
Perform other duties as required.
