About The Position

This is a contract-to-hire position for a Fire Alarm & Low Voltage Technician in Charleston, SC. The role is designed for individuals with experience in construction, electrical work, low voltage, telecommunications, maintenance, or cabling who are looking to specialize in fire alarm and life safety systems. Comprehensive training and mentorship will be provided, making previous fire alarm experience unnecessary. Requirements

• Experience in electrical, telecom, low voltage, maintenance, or construction
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools
• Ability to work independently and stay productive
• Valid driver's license
• Professional attitude and dependable work ethic

Nice To Haves

• Previous fire alarm experience is not required
• Gain exposure to security, access control, and CCTV systems

Responsibilities

• Install and service fire alarm and low-voltage systems
• Pull, terminate, and test cabling
• Replace devices and assist with system upgrades
• Troubleshoot equipment and identify solutions in the field
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project drawings
• Support commercial and school renovation projects
• Maintain quality workmanship and safety standards
