About The Position

Koorsen is hiring a Fire Alarm Lead Installation Technician in the Dayton, Ohio area to install fire alarm systems and components, help ensure their proper functionality, and help customers understand how their systems work. The role involves installing systems and associated devices according to drawings, communicating professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers, and following safety practices, company policies, procedures, and core values. The listed schedule is 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. Salary is $19–$40 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of fire alarm installation or service experience.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience with electronic testing devices and programming.
• Must pass drug and background screenings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certifications.
• Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Fire Life Safety, low-voltage, or security experience.
• Fire alarm manufacturer certifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Basic understanding of IT functionality.
